I believe I was born with a crayon in my hand. As far back as I remember I have been artistic and labeled a little different. My formal training has not been through schools as much as through being hands on and open minded, forward thinking and pushing past the rules. I love textiles, their texture, their shape, their color, and making a conscious effort to use them in my art. I have always known that I wanted to be a sculptor. My profession allowed for that dream in a quirky sort of way. I was a Certified Master Animal Groomer for many years and still have a love of animals that shows in my work. Now that I am retired I am able to pursue the love of art and share that love with others. "Felted Wool" is just a different form of my love of sculpting.
