2018 Course Information: Screen Printing for Teens
Screen Printing for Teens
During this 6 hour course, teens will learn how to create custom designs that they can print on almost anything! Students will learn the processes of photo-emulsion and masking to create two screens that they will get to take home. Along with printing their own custom designs, teens will have the opportunity to take their personalization a step further with the use of dye! Paper will be provided, but students are encouraged to bring things they would like to dye and print on, such as: shirts, canvas bags, and other fabrics.

Kelsey Sutterfield is a local artist and educator who was born and raised in Mountain View. She studied at Arkansas Tech University, receiving a Bachelor of Art in Art Education in 2013. Growing up in Mountain View, Kelsey has always been intrigued and inspired by the local crafters and the surrounding nature. She has always found joy creating things with her hands and being able to learn and experiment with a variety of media. Her artwork often reflects that of the natural world; but with bright, unrealistic colors. Kelsey is currently teaching Elementary Art at Mountain View School, but has experience teaching K-12. She loves opportunities to expose her students to a variety of art, allowing them to experiment and have fun with the process!
