Summer Art Camp 1 (Ages 8-12) with Kelsey Sutterfield

Summer is a great time for kids to experiment, get messy, and have fun while stretching their creative abilities. For five mornings students will get to experience a variety of media. Anticipated projects include crayon batik, weaving, collage, printmaking, and paper mache. Light healthy snacks will be provided mid-morning to keep energy levels high. Class size is limited so each child can have plenty of attention by Ms. Kelsey Sutterfield, Mountain View Schools elementary art instructor. Tuition assistance may be available.

Instructor: Kelsey Sutterfield

Kelsey Sutterfield is a local artist and educator who was born and raised in Mountain View. She studied at Arkansas Tech University, receiving a Bachelor of Art in Art Education in 2013. Growing up in Mountain View, Kelsey has always been intrigued and inspired by the local crafters and the surrounding nature. She has always found joy creating things with her hands and being able to learn and experiment with a variety of media. Her artwork often reflects that of the natural world; but with bright, unrealistic colors. Kelsey is currently teaching Elementary Art at Mountain View School, but has experience teaching K-12. She loves opportunities to expose her students to a variety of art, allowing them to experiment and have fun with the process!
