Born in 1980 in Bellingham, WA, Beau Anderson became a student of all things creative after enjoying his early education in Montessori and home school, Waldorf Schools, and Whatcom Community College in Bellingham, Washington.
While in home school Beau focused on glass alongside his mother, glass bead maker extraordinaire, Sage Holland, and wood with his father, Tom Anderson, beginning a as early as 7 years old.
After moving to Arkansas in 1994, he continued his glass bead making to the extent that he became a passionate teacher of the art form of soft glass glass bead making and sculpture on the torch. He found influences in ancient glass as well as forms in architecture and nature.
Beau has taught in Europe, Canada and the all over the USA in private studios and in centers for glass such as The Pittsburgh School of Glass PA, Hands on Glass, in Corning New York and Pratt Fine Arts in Seattle WA. Beau also taught the Master Class at The Bead and Button Event in Milwaukee WI. His generous teaching style is diverse in content and well rounded for all levels. Beau has also performed demonstrations in many countries and as a presenter for the international Society of Glass Bead Makers Gathering. He is published in Ornament Magazine, The History Of Beads, among others.
Here at the Arkansas Craft School, Beau will be teaching glass courses and helping his mother, Sage Holland, with monthly kids’ art classes.
