Instructor Biography
Growing up, I was very blessed with being raised in a very artistic family. Although one of my great loves is writing, I also have a love of crafts of many kinds such as photography, jewelry making, and tye dye to name a few. When I was little, my mom would joke that I was a mess waiting for a place to happen due to always finding something to create, reinvent, or replicate.
As I got older, I can look back on those creations with great fondness knowing not only did they teach me a great new skill, but would also help me later on in many of the jobs I went after.
Although I never graduated with any form of art or teaching degree, I still love the idea of helping children learn crafts. There is something truly beautiful about watching the imagination of a child unfold before your eyes and watching them make something that totally reflects a part of themselves.
My hope is that in taking some of the classes I’ll be teaching, that kids of all kinds will learn they are capable of great and wonderful things, and in the process have some fun and make new friends too!
