New to Arkansas Craft School is Dianne Petty. Originally from Illinois, Dianne now lives in Mountain Home.
Dianne had always been a crafter, but when she discovered they were expecting their first grandchild, she became obsessed with knitting. A favorite aunt had made baby quilts for her children that are cherished items to this day, and she wanted to create the same experience for her grandchildren.
Now with 3 grandchildren, she loves seeing them cuddled up with their blankets and clothed in items she has lovingly hand knitted for them.
Having been in a managerial role in the steel industry, she was used to coaching people on computer issues. So, when she was asked to teach a class at a local knitting shop it was a natural progression for her.
Now, often creating her own designs, knitting has become a passion and she loves teaching others who think they could never learn. She has taught at Gabriele’s Flower and Fibers in Bull Shoals, Arkansas and through Marvelous Magazine. Come learn with Dianne and discover the world of hand-knitting!
