Loretta Babak loves to paint, and nature is her inspiration. Capturing the subject, its details and emotion is important to her. Using different sub-straights and many different subject matters, keeps her learning new things. Loretta says the Ozarks bring out the “country” in her and that it has been a wonderful addition to her art experience. Extensive travels to the east and west coasts have also had an impact on her creations.
Loretta’s art has received numerous first and grand awards, as well as being chosen by the International Society of Acrylic Painters to be in their “on-line” art display. Her art has been placed in many private art collections throughout the states. Her art has been shown in the “Southwest Art Magazine” and she has been a participating artist in the Off the Beaten Path Studio Tour.
She loves teaching because it allows her to be with like-minded people and gives her a sense of completion. Her intent is to make her art lessons a positive experience that will encourage people to continue art with enthusiasm. Loretta belongs to the Mountain View Art Guild, the Arkansas Craft Guild, International Society of Acrylic Painters, and Mid-Southern Watercolorists.
