Photography, Oil, Acrylic, Pen and Ink, Watercolor, and Pastel,

I am an Arkansas-based fine artist and photographer whose work explores light, landscape, and our connection to the natural world. My photography and paintings are strongly influenced by the Ozarks, its rivers, forests, changing seasons, and the remarkable character of its light.

My work ranges from fine-art landscape photography to painting in acrylic, oil, and watercolor, often with an impressionistic approach. I am particularly interested in creating work that goes beyond simply recording a place and instead conveys the atmosphere, emotion, and experience of being there.

My art is rooted in observation—especially the way light, weather, color, and time transform a landscape. I work in both fine-art photography and painting, using acrylic, oil, and watercolor.

Much of my work begins with places I have personally explored and photographed, particularly throughout the Ozarks and the American landscape. Whether working with a camera or a brush, I am less interested in simply reproducing what I see than in capturing the feeling of being there—the light on water, the depth of a forest, the openness of a distant horizon, or a fleeting moment that might otherwise pass unnoticed.

My painting has an increasingly impressionistic quality, emphasizing light, movement, atmosphere, and color. Photography and painting continually influence one another in my work, and together they allow me to explore the landscape in different ways.
