How are the artists paired with the merchants?
The Arkansas Craft School will pair you with the merchant. Once your location is assigned, we will provide you with the merchant contact person, phone number, email, and location.
What are the display expectations?
The artists are responsible for installing and taking down their artwork. Most merchants’ interiors are not natural gallery spaces, so artists will need to provide easels, tables, and displays on which to exhibit their work.
The artist is to always respect the guidelines of the merchant.
The public likes to meet the artist. You will be required to be at your merchant location during the duration of the event.
We recommend that the artist exhibit as many pieces available according to your location size. This needs to be coordinated with the merchant.
Artists are not required to sell their artwork during the Art Walk, but we do recommend that you do! You must supply your own means of payments from the customers. The merchant is not responsible for sales of your artwork.
Do artists pay commissions to the merchants if you sell artwork at their venue?
No. Artists do not pay commissions to the merchant if you sell work during the Art Walk. The Art Walk is also an opportunity for the merchant to introduce their service/products to new clientele.
