Fiber Art/Crochet

I self taught myself the art of crochet using YouTube videos about eight years ago. I was exposed to it all my life by watching my Aunt Mildred crochet the most beautiful doilies, table cloths, and baby clothes. I don't crochet a lot of the same items because I enjoy making something new every time and using new stitches. The variety keeps me excited to move on to new challenges.

I have lived in Stone County for most of my life. My mother, Joanne Webb, exposed and involved me in crafting all my life. I attended Timbo School K-12, joined the US Navy and was a dental technician. Then I attended Arkansas State University, studying art and graphic design, receiving a BFA . My husband and I chose to stay in Stone County around family and enjoy the Mountain View small town life. I decided crafting would be a hobby and not a source of income, only selling work by commission, because making art just to sell suppresses my enjoyment of the process. After retiring in 2024, I now enjoy art and crafting of all kinds, especially crochet.
