The ACS is pleased to announce a new venture to support our local and visiting
songwriter community, borne from a successful series of song-crafting workshops with
Charley Sandage this past Spring.

The Arkansas Craft School will be hosting the second monthly "Final Friday Songwriter's Circle" this Friday, August 30th from 6pm - 8pm. This monthly Final Friday event is free to all with a suggested per person donation of $5-10 to cover utilities and staffing costs. This event is suitable for anyone who likes listening to local singer/songwriters play and craft music, has an interest in learning or developing their song writing and/or musical skills, or any experienced songwriter wanting creative feedback and interaction with other like minded individuals.

This event will be held in two parts: Part I from 6-7pm: “Give and Take” where songwriters choose songs to play for one another to obtain feedback and assistance in working through songs. Part II from 7-8pm: “Performances,” featuring original songs by those in attendance at the event.Participants are encouraged to bring lead sheets, lyric sheets, chords, and instruments. The ACS has a keyboard available in house for use during these events. Acoustic or traditionally oriented music welcome. Bring drinks and snacks to share if desired.
