Cindy Kopack
Jewelry
Cindy loves to work with silver in several different forms: Smithing with natural stones, metal clay with fine silver and sterling silver, and cooper and brass for mixed metal jewelry.
Cindy is a retired employee of the US Forest Service. Transferred to Mountain View 20 years ago after moving around the country for this career, fell in love with Mountain View. She took one basic silversmithing class at the Arkansas Craft School in 2018, then became obsessed with making jewelry. After subsequent workshops at the Arkansas Craft School, the Arkansas Museum of Fine Arts, as well as online, she opened her own teaching studio at her and her husband’s cabin in Ozark, Arkansas. While Mountain View is her home, she spends a lot of time at the cabin trying to host one jewelry workshop a month.
Currently her jewelry can be found at the gift shop of the Ozark Folk Center, the Arkansas Craft School and central Beekeeping Supply in Russellville. You can usually also find her at most of the festivals around Mountain View to include the Folk Festival, Bean Fest and Mountains & Mistletoe.
She works mainly with silver but in several different forms…. Smithing, where she incorporate natural stones and an occasional CZ for sparkle; metal clay to include fine silver and sterling silver; and, a bit of copper and brass for mixed metal jewelry. Her work also includes copper enamel.
