Beginning Pottery Wheel Throwing (Thurs - Sat)
Tuition: $35
Instructor: Allison Ousley
Location: 101 N Peabody Ave, Mountain View, Arkansas (Main Campus)
This workshop is great for those who want to try out wheel throwing without committing to a course.
In this workshop students will learn the basics of throwing clay, centering, opening, and shaping on the pottery wheel. This workshop includes 1-hour of hands on instruction, but does not include instruction on trimming, or finishing pieces.
This workshop can be taken many times, as students improve. This is primarily for the experience, students wishing to finish their pieces will need to use a Studio Pass, or make other arrangements.
Please wear clothing and shoes that you don’t mind getting mud on. We provide aprons, but students may also bring their own if they have one! Please take the necessary precautions if you have any cuts or abrasions on your hands, and try to have short nails; longer nails will get in the way.
