The Ins and Outs of Bowl Turning, June 28

$190.00
  • Date: June 28, 2025

  • Time: 10 am-4pm

  • Tuition and Materials Fee: $190

  • Instructor: Keith Kyle

  • Students: Ages 16+

  • Location: Main Campus, 101 N Peabody Avenue, Mountain View, Arkansas

This workshop is designed for the woodturner with some experience.  You should be able to turn with a certain level of confidence.  In this workshop you will be addressing the more advanced skills needed in bowl turning.  Bowl turning is unlike other turning projects, it has a joy all of its own!

A medium sized bowl blank will be provided and complete turning tools and accessories.  You are welcome to bring your own tools if desired.  Plenty of time will be allotted to address the basic skills of bowl turning and finishing.  However, it might be possible that your project will not be completed, but instruction will be provided to do so on your own.

Please be advised to wear appropriate clothing and closed toed footwear.  Aprons are not required but are welcome.  A lunch break will be observed.

Spending a day on the wood lathe is messy yet satisfying.  Come join us in the sawdust and discover a new hidden talent or fine tune one you might already have.  Please be advised to wear appropriate clothing and closed toed footwear.  Aprons are not required but are welcome.  A lunch break will be observed.

You may bring water and a lunch, or you may wish to visit one of our fine restaurants in town.
