Copper Wire Wrapping a Cabochon, May 23-24

Location: Arkansas Craft School, 101 N Peabody Avenue, Mountain View, Arkansas
In this two-day workshop students will be working with copper in square, half round and round wire to create a cabochon pendant and chain for the pendant (necklace). Students will learn to measure, arrange, wrap and bend wire around a cabochon which has been finished flat on one side and raised on the other typically oval or round. Wire will be manipulated in a variety of shape choices, hammered, and possibly have beads added to form a chain for your pendant.
Students should have some knowledge of handling wires and using hand tools to manipulate the wire. Please bring safety glasses if you do not wear glasses. If you wear glasses for close work, please bring them.
