Are you ready to add unique cast elements to your work and create something truly one of a kind? Join us for this two-day workshop focusing on silversmithing and utilizing sterling and bronze cast botanicals sourced from master casters. They grow their own succulents and flowers and cast them for us to use in our jewelry making!

We'll create a pendant in silver with a bezel-set cabochon and cast botanicals. We will cover creating a bezel, adding decorative wire elements, attachment and prep methods for the botanicals, creating a halo bail or adding a premade bail, finishing, stone setting, and adding patina.

I'll have a selection of stones for you to choose from that will be ideal cuts for success in class. there will be a large selection of cast botanicals to pick from and you can mix silver and bronze for a unique look. Your kit will include everything you need to create a beautiful pendant, including a cord for you to wear it home on. As we will be using micro-torches, the size of the finished piece will be under 1.5" x 1.5", excluding the bail, but all the techniques you learn in class are 100% translatable to larger pieces.

You don’t need any experience to take this class. It’s 100% beginner-friendly and all the tools and supplies are included in your tuition and kit fee.

If you have your own tools, you’re encouraged to bring those so you can build familiarity with them, but there will be lots of other tools to try out at class as well.
