Pottery Mug Making, December 7

Time: 1:30 - 4:00 pm

Level: Beginning
Students: Ages 14+
Location: 101 N. Peabody Avenue/ Main campus
Learn to make a personalized functional pottery mug and with some favorite pottery hand-building techniques. The processes we will use are a great introduction point for making and designing your own clay pieces. In this workshop, you will follow along through the process for making mugs with handles and then will have time to personalize them to your preference by painting and texturing them. After the workshop, mugs will be fired and glazed and you can return to pick up your ready-to-use mug!
Special Note: Finished items need time to dry and to be bisque fired. The student may return on December 21 at 10am to glaze. If you can't return to glaze, someone can do it for you, just pick your color on December 7. Pick up your item(s) any time after December 30.
There will be another pottery workshop on the same day on wheel throwing. You may enroll in both, but each workshop is $75.
