In this one-day workshop students will be working with square and half round wire (copper or brass). Students will wrap a cabochon making a beautiful pendant to hang on a necklace. You will learn to measure, arrange, wrap, and bend wire around a stone (cabochon) which is a stone that has been finished flat on one side and raised on the other typically oval or round.
Students should have some knowledge of handling wires and using hand tools to manipulate the wire. If you have safety glasses or eyeglasses, please bring them.
Wire, cabochon, beads, and use of tools will be provided in this workshop.
Marlene Gremillion, artist, and instructor for over 40 years has been working in jewelry for approximately 25 years and sells her works in galleries throughout the state.
